ON THE ROAD
August 2006
I hope you like these, 39 out of about 800. My cousin
Karin and I met in Vancouver on August 8th, flew to Calgary on August
9th, overnighted in Canmore and looked at Banff and Lake Louise on
August 10th and drove down to Kelowna through the passes in very variable weather - thunder
and lightning, torrential rain and hail. We visited a couple of wineries on Lake Okanagan on
August 11th and drove down the Coquihalla to Vancouver. In Vancouver from August 11th to 14th,
we went up to Whistler, did Grouse Mountain and the Capilano Suspension Bridge, and visited the
Museum of Anthropology at UBC. Then on to Victoria and touristy things on Vancouver Island till
August 23rd when my cousin flew back to England.
